PC Kinyanjui Institute Launches a Centre of Excellence

A new center dedicated to developing student skills in electrical and automation systems has been launched at PC Kinyanjui Training Institute in Nairobi. This initiative is a collaborative effort between the State Department of TVET, Schneider Electric Kenya, the French Ministry of National Education, and the Kenyan Ministry of Education.

The center is equipped with modern electrical systems to provide students with hands-on learning experiences that reflect real-world scenarios. It will also support research in renewable energy solutions, fostering innovation in the energy sector.

Focus on Energy Efficiency

At the launch ceremony, Ifeanyi Odoh, the president of Schneider Electric East Africa, highlighted the importance of energy-efficient systems for businesses. He urged companies to adopt these systems to reduce production costs and make their products more affordable for consumers.

French Support for the Project

Representing the French Ministry of National Education, Ambassador Arnaud Suquet pledged France’s commitment to the project. The French embassy will provide a resident expert to assist with teaching and training the trainers, and will also oversee the project’s implementation.
