KUCCPS Introduces New Payment Codes

KUCCPS Chief Executive Officer: Agnes Mercy Wahome

The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has announced the implementation of new payment codes, aligning with the government’s directive to integrate all services with the eCitizen platform. This strategic move aims to streamline transactions and enhance service delivery efficiency.

“For enhanced efficiency, KUCCPS services now have unique codes for eCitizen transactions. We urge all stakeholders to adopt these new payment reference codes for the listed services on the platform,” stated the public notice.

Key updates include the following:

  • Local students paying for research data provision should use code PDRL.
  • Local NGOs and businesses accessing research data should use code PNGO.
  • Bidders purchasing tender documents should use code PTDB.
  • Individuals acquiring career books should use code PCCB.
  • Universities registering for membership should use code RGMU.
  • Colleges registering for membership should use code RMCL.

For services not listed above, such as applications for replacement or inter-institutional transfers, users are advised to follow the eCitizen payment instructions provided on the respective KUCCPS portal.

How to Pay Through eCitizen

KUCCPS has provided a clear seven-step guide for making payments through eCitizen:

  1. Navigate to the mobile money menu.
  2. Select the pay with mobile money option.
  3. Select pay bill.
  4. Enter the consolidated paybill number: 222222.
  5. In place of the account number, enter the specific payment reference code, followed by a hyphen and the client’s name in capital letters.
  6. Input the required amount to complete the transaction.
  7. Forward the confirmation message to KUCCPS as proof of payment for the service.

With these new codes, KUCCPS is committed to enhancing the efficiency and convenience of its services, ensuring a seamless user experience on the eCitizen platform
